Lega Padana
Lega Padana (Padanian League) is a Padanist and separatist political party active mainly in Piedmont, Italy.
In the 2009 provincial elections, led by Renzo Rabellino, Lega Padana Piemont (LPP) obtained 1.1% of the vote in the Province of Alessandria〔http://amministrative.interno.it/amministrative/amm090621/P002.htm〕 and 1.0% in the Province of Turin.〔http://amministrative.interno.it/amministrative/amm090621/P081.htm〕 Rabellino, who was a joint-candidate of several small parties won 3.5% of the vote and was elected to the Provincial Council of Turin.〔http://www.provincia.torino.it/organi/consiglio/index.htm〕 In the 2010 Piedmontese regional election Rabellino ran for President and gained 1.7%.〔http://elezionistorico.interno.it/index.php?tpel=R&dtel=28/03/2010&tpa=I&tpe=R&lev0=0&levsut0=0&lev1=1&levsut1=1&ne1=1&es0=S&es1=S&ms=S〕 In 2011 Turin municipal election the candidate supported by LPP, Domenico Coppola, won 3.6% of the vote.〔http://comunali.interno.it/comunali/amm110515/C0812620.htm〕 Coppola, who had been elected to the Municipal Council, died a few days later the election.〔http://www.ilmessaggero.it/articolo_app.php?id=38656&sez=HOME_INITALIA&npl=&desc_sez=〕
